Mr. Drippy’s awakening

"Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch"

My second try making a gif set since tumblr wouldn’t upload my first set ;A;

So I just started this game and this whole scene (from Oliver in the water all the way up to Mr. Drippy introducing himself) is one of the most heartbreakingly magnificent pieces of animation to come from a video game I have seen in a long time. I’ve been caught several times mid-game sitting back and enjoying the animation akin to how I would with Studio Ghibli productions, only to catch myself and continue playing further.

The world in which the game takes place is gorgeously created, the anthropomorphic NPCs of the other world are incredible (especially their dialogue which I totally dig), the side-quests are so far entertaining, the brilliant music from Joe Hisaishi never fails to add that special something to the game, the familiars and party that Oliver takes with him on his journeys are fun and a joy to level up and equip with all sorts… all in all, this game is just perfection. I treasure being able to sit back with a game such as this, so brightly coloured and light-hearted, and just get immersed.

J-rock Dreams

Had a dream last night that myself and another person had to go into a dungeon and fight a boss (a la typical RPG style).
After beating the boss, the reward was meeting Kyo and getting a signed copy of Dum Spiro Spero.
The rest of the dream was me running about showing it off and being overly insane.

I’m very upset now that I am awake.
